Learn about animals from around the world when you meet one of our reptiles, an Madagascar Hissing Cockroach, and enjoy a program at the ark.
Colors & Shapes (ages 5+)
Explore the world of colors through Science and Art. Learn about the color wheel and make your own colorful creation.
Magnet Madness (ages 5+)
Explore the properties of magnets by testing to see if different materials are magnetic and playing magnetic games.
*Pirate Science (ages 5+)
Yarr Matey! What sinks? What floats? Learn about the property of density from a pirate.
*Forensics (ages 7+) - requires advance notice and availibility
Solve a mystery by investigating footprints, fingerprints, and a mysterious note using chromatography.
*Girls Night In (ages 7+) - requires advance notice and availibility
Enjoy a "girls only" night by making your own lip gloss in the science lab and diva dancing on the stage. (A Princess Birthday Bash camp-in is also offered, please see the description on the Birthday Party Page.)
Included in your Overnight Adventure: 7PM - 8AM
Play time in the Museum, themed programming provided by staff educators, healthy evening snack, continental breakfast, gift shop open for a limited time during the evening, and a FREE museum pass for each child camper to return another day. Please have everyone here by 7:15 to help us stay on schedule and give your group plenty of Museum time.

When e-mailing a reservation please include: date requested, number of children, organization/group name, contact namd and information, and theme. Camp-ins are NOT reserved until a $40 deposit is received and a confirmation is returned.
Pre-Order Your T-shirts
Pre-order your campers' Hands On! t-shirts for $10 each. That's a savings of $2 per shirt. This also ensures that your receive the color and size of your choice. T-shirts will also be available the night of your camp-in at the regular price of $12. Selection may be limited.
Cost:
The camp-in cost is $400 and includes admission for up to 20 children and 1 adult. We do require one adult for every 5 children for safety purposes. Admission for one adult is included in the initial cost of the camp-in, and each additional adult is $10. The adult admission cost includes all of the benefits of a child's admission except for the free pass. All campers must meet the minimum age requirement for the camp program/activity. Once an initial reservation is made, a $40 deposit is due immediately to maintain your reservation. A receipt will be sent with the confirmation packet.
Rules:
1. Always use your walking feet.
2. Always use your inside voice.
3. Please don't touch the animals in the ark.
4. Treat our live animals with repsect (don't tap on the cages/tanks).
5. Kids slide safely in the coal mine (sorry adults, kids only).
6. NEVER open the door for anyone - get an adult.
7. Please stay away from doors and windows after lights out.
All guests must:
