Dino Egg Hunt

Apr 14, 2017 – 9:30 am – 12:30 pm

PrintHead over to Hands On! for some EGG-cellent prehistoric family fun!  Stop by the Dino Egg Hunt anytime between 9:30 and 12:30 for experiments, crafts, games, a prehistoric putting course, and more!  Be sure to visit the prehistoric forest to hunt for Mama T-Rex’s dinosaur eggs and return them to her in exchange for a goody bag.  Check out our Facebook page and event for updates, contests, and more! (***Please note this event contains small parts not suitable for children under 3 years of age and also contain nuts, soy, wheat, and chocolate.)

General Admission for the Dino Egg Hunt:

  • FREE for Hands On! Museum members
  • FREE for children 2 and under
  • $3 per person for non-members* (children ages 3 and up and adults)

*Admission to the main museum exhibition area is NOT included.  The museum will be open at the regular per person rate.

**You MUST have your current, non-expired physical Hands On! membership card with you as well as a photo I.D. to use the member only line or for member hour (we will be unable to look up your membership information in this line). Be sure to stop by before the event to renew your membership to have access to this VIP line!

Summer Camps at Hands On!

Where else can you custom tie dye a t-shirt, blast off Mentos geysers, create your own custom-fitted and hula hoop, send suds flying into the air, make ooey gooey silly putty, paint a masterpiece, build an air rocket, and much, much more?!?! Children ages 5 to 12 can explore and discover the sciences, arts, and more in our week long summer camps that are sure to make fun, silly, and educational memories sure to last a lifetime. Download your registration packet.

Choose the week of camp that is right for your camper:

  • Monday, June 5th-Friday, June 9th
  • Monday, June 19th-Friday, June 23rd
  • Monday, July 17th – Friday, July 21st

Choose the type of day that is right for your camper:

  • HALF day (Drop off 9:30-9:45, pickup 12:15-12:30)
    • Cost: $ 100 for members, $150 for non-members
    • Includes a Hands On! t-shirt for tie dyeing, all activity and experiment supplies, play time in the museum, drinks provided at mid-morning snack time. Half day campers need to bring a NUT FREE snack and extra clothes and shoes daily.
  • FULL day (Drop off 9:30-9:45, pickup 4:15-4:30)
    • Cost: $ 150 for members, $200 for non-members
    • In addition to what half day camps include, full day camps include additional activities and experiments, extended play time in the museum, drinks provided at snack and lunch times. Full day campers need to bring 2 NUT FREE snacks, a NUT FREE lunch, and extra clothes and shoes daily.

Gray Fossil Site & Museum Paleo Camps

Only at the Gray Fossil Site and Museum can you dig for fossils, wet-screen micro-fossils, get a behind the scenes tour of the fossil site, make casts of bones, and examine rocks and minerals. Additional activities include dissecting an owl pellet, science experiments, science-based art projects, t-shirt tie-dying, and so much more! Children ages 5 to 12 can explore and discover the sciences, arts, and more in our week-long summer camps that are sure to make memories to last a lifetime.     • Cost: $ 170 for Gray Fossil Site & Museum members*, $200 for non-members
    • In addition to what half-day camps include, full day camps include additional activities and experiments, extended play-time in the museum, drinks provided at snack and lunch times. Full day campers need to bring 2 NUT FREE snacks, a NUT FREE lunch, and extra clothes and shoes daily.
